"Why on earth have they done this site?", is perhaps the first impression, when you arrived here. There are thousands of sites of Greece made by Greeks themselves - and they must know, what they are telling about.

Our motivation is based on the fact that there are not so many Greece -pages in Finnish language and on the other hand we wanted to place our Greek link list somewhere in the internet.

Our first touch with the Greek culture happened in fact on Cyprus in 1989, when we had our first Mediterranean vacation in the village of Ayia Napa, which was rather a quiet place at the time.

We had a perfect "ten points" holiday: naturally we spent a lot of time on the beaches, but also cycling and walking around getting familiarized with the local nature and people. We felt already then, that Greece (including Cyprus) was to be "another home" for us.

During the years we have visited different places, mainly in the archipelago at least once a year. We have tried to get more information of Greece not only by travelling there but also from literature and internet - we have also learned a little Greek in order to get even something out of Greek texts - and the Greeks themselves ;O).
